Heather Mulcahy

Heather joined Resource Consulting Group in 2016 as a client service specialist and currently serves as a paraplanner for the firm. Heather works closely with the firm’s wealth advisors, collaborating throughout the planning process to develop and deliver comprehensive financial plans to clients.

Heather earned her associate degree in business administration from Southeast Community College and a Bachelor of Arts in accounting from Doane College. She earned her Financial Paraplanner Qualified Professional (FPQP®) designation in 2017. Prior to joining RCG, Heather worked for Jones Day Law Firm for where she managed client billing and securities trading compliance.

Originally from Nebraska, Heather spent over 15 years in the Washington D.C. area before relocating to Orlando. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, gardening, home improvement, and spending time with family and friends.

Personal Thoughts

They say that you can never truly appreciate the lessons of your childhood until you’re an adult. I grew up in a family where my parents both worked two jobs and did “whatever it took” to make sure that their family was provided for. This also meant that my brother and I got to contribute to our family’s success. More times than I’d like to remember, we were awakened in the early morning to shovel the snow from around my Dad’s car so he could take us to school. We were also put to work on the weekends doing yard work and household chores. My brother and I put up a good fight, but in the end, we still had to do our part. And if we thought that we could get a pass with our grandparents, we were wrong. Having an Army Colonel and an Attorney General for grandparents made sure that the rules were enforced!

As we got older (and in more trouble), our parents taught us how to address situations head-on and to be honest and up-front, because in the end, the truth always comes out. Those were some hard lessons to learn, but they are valuable today and have contributed greatly to my success.

Integrity, planning, and perseverance have been the keys to navigating any situation that I have faced in my life. This fuels my passion to help our clients achieve their ideal life wherever their life may take them.
